What a mad year! Richard and Ellie just on the final week of the stratospheric Us & Them Tour for Roger Waters, currently in Canada. Beki spent the early part of the Summer pulling together the performance zone for ‘Their Mortal Remains’ the Pink Floyd Exhibition at the V&A with a great team including Richard Kenyon, Martin Seymour, Jack Beccegato and the lovely people from ER Lasers. Feedback has been fantastic, my favourite quote pictured above. What beckons in 2018 for the Lucky Frog Team? Watch this space.
It’s been a busy time for The Frog. Richard is in NY working on an upcoming uber gig, Ellie is on a course learning to work safely at height and Beki is at home juggling visuals for a major tour, another motorshow, an upcoming exhibition and two corporates. #shortstraw. Son Django jetted of to Montreal this Summer for work experience with our amazing friends at VYV. Is he a chip off the old block? judge for yourself!
Beki has just finished 2 events in 2 weeks and is now recovering. Firstly the annual Pizza Hut event (the 19th consecutive year as Producer) which involved a conference and party for the Managers and HQ staff of the Delivery Units. Secondly, an All Associate Day for Mars Petcare, held at their canning factory in Leicestershire. An event that should be a dogs dinner…
Richard has been with the tour since conception. Ellie joined recently after finishing with 1D. Other regular members of the team are on the tour too (Gabs and Andy J to name but two) Last night they were in Paris, possibly the first major gig to take place since the horrific events of Friday 13th. I think this tour is looking very good. Definitely worth all the effort and time Richard and Pryd (LD) put in over the summer….
So this week Richard is in rehearsal with Simply Red.
Beki spent Tuesday doing on-site management and show calling at the BFI Luminous Gala at the Guildhall for the lovely ladies at Fisher Productions. During rehearsals she gave one of the presenters some speaker training before realising it was a very famous actor (Sorry, Tom Hiddleston!) Luckily the other presenters were household names (Jonathan Ross and Steve Coogan) so were spared the ordeal.
Beki and the LB’s (Richards name for the kids, don’t ask…) got to dance on stage in Hyde Park with Chic and the legendary Nile Rodgers. Richard was directing cameras for Star Turn Kylie at The British Summer Time festival so the rest of the family were unashamed liggers. We had a great time, sharing the stage with Sam Smith and some bloke from Strictly Come Dancing (OK, he was a bit better than us)
So. Lucky frog HQ is up and running and its almost twice the size it was and looking good. The last couple of months has seen the Turner team hauling 12 tons of gravel and playing with mini diggers in the bomb site formerly known as the garden. Ellie is still grafting away on the 1D tour (and is a bit too good at paintballing, we hear)
Autumn has arrived and its back to work with a bang; Richard is pixel tossing at the Frankfurt Motorshow and Beki starting to plan events for a major coffee retailer and car manufacturer… and the garden, well. See for yourselves…
UPDATE ON THE GARDEN… its looking better
