A Chinese opera collaboration between Damon Albarn, Jamie Hewlett of the Gorillaz and the renowned Chinese director Chen Shi-Zheng, bringing to life the ancient chinese tale.

Extensive use of projection is made for both narrative and scenic purposes based on Jamie\’s great artwork and animation.

The opera has been staged successfully at Manchester Festival, the Chatelet theatre in Paris, the Spoleto festival in Charleston, South Carolina, the Royal Opera House in London and enjoyed a run in a specially erected circus tent at the o2 also in London. We\’re now working on another staging
